TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before placing an order or booking a class.  We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
 

Making a Booking

For Private One to One and Private Small Group Workshops, the workshop date and event is not secured until full payment has been made and you have received a confirmation by email from The Creative Cake Academy. You will receive a seperate email from PayPal containing the purchase invoice, but this is not a confirmation of a class until payment has been received in full.  We cannot hold class places pending payment.

Booking for another party

You can book classes for yourself or for other people.  If booking for someone else, please ensure you tell us of the name and email address of the person who will be attending.  In default of this, all information will be sent to you rather than the attendee.  Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Gift vouchers

The Creative Cake Academy sells Gift Vouchers which can be redeemed against the price of Private Tuition, One to One and Small Group workshops.   When you purchase a Gift Voucher, we will send a hard copy voucher in the post to you or if you would prefer we can issue a printable voucher by e-mail. If you wish for the voucher to be posted to the recipient, it is your responsibility to inform us of the recipient’s full name and address at the time of purchasing the voucher. The Gift Vouchers are personalised and carry a voucher code which relates to the original booking details.

Joining details

Full details about the class, its location and any other information you will need will be sent to you by email once you have booked and paid for the class.

Course content

The Creative Cake Academy will do their utmost to maintain and deliver all workshops as per the advertised detail, but we also reserve the right to change the class content at any time.

Cake Decoration Class Content

You will be taught many different designs during The Creative Cake Academy cake decoration classes and through the Distance Workshop Packs if they are currently on offer.  All of the content of our workshops including the designs on the cakes that you are taught belong to The Creative Cake Academy.  By purchasing a class place, you are free to copy all of these designs for the purpose of your own cake making whether it be for private or business use.  However, if you currently run or intend to run cake decoration classes you must not use the designs you learnt in our classes to advertise or run a class which is substantially the same. It is our intention to teach you skills which will enable you to come up with your own class designs thus offering the market place something original to you.  If you run classes or intend to run classes in the future, you may not use lesson plans, class format, structures, photographs, teaching techniques, pre class information, notes, wording from The Creative Cake Academy classes  for your own classes or the promotion of your own classes.  You are also prohibited from copying the Fact Pack (in whole or in part) for distribution and it is for your own sole use entirely.

Cancellations, moving places and refunds

Once a class has been booked and paid for, we are unable to offer any refunds for any reason if you are unable to attend, this is due to the fact that the workshop and booked date will have been reserved solely for yourself or your private party.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a class, we will offer an alternative date(s) to you and if no alternative date is made available by us, we will provide you with a full refund of the payment you have made for your class. The refund will relate solely to the cost of the workshop and will not include any additional costs of transportation, accommodation or anything else.  In the event a class is cancelled by us, we will use best endeavours to reschedule your class place to another date and/or offer you a voucher so you can rebook for a date of your choice in the future.

Late arrivals

Please be aware that when booking workshops your timely arrival is essential.  Please ensure you allow plenty of time when planning your journey.  Private and one to one workshops will be deemed to run from the agreed arrival time and additional time due to late arrival will not be tagged on to the end of the day.

Privacy policy

All personal details supplied by you to us are kept confidential.  For example, we do not disclose personal addresses, phone numbers or emails to third parties.  Your personal information is only stored in connection with your booking or purchase and for the sole use of The Creative Cake Academy. 

Liability

Once payment has been paid, a contract will be non-cancellable by the customer.   Ordering mistakes by customers with regard to class dates will not constitute grounds of cancellation. Notwithstanding the above, acceptance of cancellation by The Creative Cake Academy in exceptional circumstances and any refund or part refund will be solely at the discretion of the proprietor of The Creative Cake Academy.  To the maximum extent permissible in law, the proprietor of The Creative Cake Academy excludes all liability to any loss or consequential loss however incurred by the Customer, arising from any or omission or failure by The Creative Cake Academy in connection with the contract.  In any event the maximum liability of the proprietor of The Creative Cake Academy will be not more that the purchase price of the products or services under the contract, should the contract be cancelled for any reason.
